AMPED Seminar Recap

AMPED Seminar Review This weekend I was luckily enough to attend James Smith's and Joe Defranco's first ever AMPED Seminar at DeFranco's Gym. Needless to say this seminar kicked some serious ass. Whenever you get a chance to learn from the best and most knowledgeable guys in the industry, you better do whatever you can to get your ass there. I loved this seminar because it was real world stuff that I was able to start doing with my athletes the next day. Saturday night I could barely sleep because I was so excited for Sunday. Why the Deadlift is King

The King of All Lifts- The Deadlift So you think you’re strong? I got one question for you…How much can you deadlift? The Modified Warrior Diet

The warrior diet is a concept originally developed by Ori Hofmekler, he also released a book by the same name. In it he outlines the general concepts and ideas upon which the diet was based. His primary goal was developing a lean, athletic “warrior” body as seen in the times of the Romans and Greeks and doing so in a healthful manner. Ori’s original work is excellent for anyone looking for a simple, healthy easy way to eat, feel good and drop some bodyfat in the process. In its original form it works well for the average Joe. In my last post I told you why you should be doing single leg exercises. Since I usually train athletes in a group setting, having them do single leg work with barbells is tough so we usually stick to odd objects, kettlebells or dumbbells. Most of you have probably already seen lunge variations with dumbbells so here are 5 uncommon single leg exercises.
